Winebyrinth 2: a predicted success for the Villani team alongside MdV

There are places that enchant, and there are days that leave a lasting impression, as if time itself slows down to make room for emotions. This was exactly how we experienced the encore of Winebyrinth, held at the Labirinto della Masone on 23 September: a tapestry of passion, taste, and excellence that, for a day, became a universe of aromas, glasses, and flavours.

Leading this sensory journey was Mauro Villani, supported by his team, which included, among others, enthusiastic university students in branded t-shirts who assisted the participating wineries throughout the day. The event brought together the very best of the represented agencies and made it available to restaurateurs, gourmets, and wine enthusiasts. It was not just a tasting, but a carefully orchestrated experience, where every detail had its purpose.

The wines played the role of silent storytellers. Among them, of course, the glasses from Monte delle Vigne spoke with a clear and sincere voice: wines that convey the soul of Emilia, balancing elegance and depth, strength and harmony. Among all, the new Classic Method Monticello and the pure Franc Il chiuso particularly captured the interest and curiosity of the professionals in attendance.

Winebyrinth 2 was also a celebration of the flavours that make this land unique. The creaminess of La Villa’s Parmigiano-Reggiano, caressing the palate with unexpected softness; Coppini olive oil, drop by drop, revealing how the essence of simplicity can become extraordinary; and the delights of Luca Ferrari, with the invaluable help of Stefano Melis in presenting coppa and culatta—authentic portraits of Emilian tradition—are just a few of the remarkable local treasures on display.

Strolling under the arcade of the Labyrinth, glass in hand, felt like being transported to a parallel dimension: the bamboo setting, the warmth of a late September sunset, the gentle murmur of conversations among those who know how to recognize and celebrate life’s beauty. Last but not least, a live band performed a repertoire of undeniable quality.

The second edition of Winebyrinth was, in the end, more than just an event: it was a collective ritual of passion and sharing, a mosaic of encounters and discoveries. One of those days that, when it ends, leaves the heart full and promises a return.

Mauro, Gianluca, Beatrice, and Roberta, well done!
