Parma Hills and Modena Apennines: a virtuous twinning thanks to our wines

Near Zocca, in the heart of Modena Apennines, there is the evocative Cantacucco Restaurant , plunged into a beautiful panorama surrounded by green hills. The location is known for whom who lives “above the 700 meters above sea level”. In March, on Wednesday the 20th we organized a wine tasting event. This culinary event was an unforgettable experience for wine and food lovers, who appreciated the oenological excellences from Parma Hills.

The Cantacucco ’s magic atmosphere hosted the guests into a rural and comfortable place, where wine and food passions created a perfect union. Low lights, soft music and perfumes from the restaurant’s kitchen created a warm and convivial atmosphere, perfect to taste the wines’ bouquet of aromas.

The 76 guests had the opportunity to taste the following pairings:
Poggio Alto and Cantacucco 's appetizers;
Ginestra and ricotta Bianca Modenese mini cake;
Callas ’21 and Crescentine with Culatello;
I Calanchi and Mora Romagnola ravioli;
Nabucco ’20 and Lombata Mora Romagnola “Cà Lumaco“;
Malvasia Dolce and “La Sweet“ ice-cream.

The pairings had been studied by the staff, Sig. Roberto, Sig.ra Carla and Daniela (restaurant’s owners) with the aim of best exalting the characteristics of both wine and food, giving to the guests a unique and captivating sensory experience. Final exploit: thanks to Stefano Roi collaboration, Monte delle Vigne symbol in Modena and its province, the guests could taste Callas ’17 and Nabucco ’18 in the Magnum version, by comparing them with the present vintages.

At the end of the night, between small talks and smiles on the winery tells, all the guests could feel the passion and love for the Emilian land and its oeno-gastronomy imparted by Roberto, his team and Stefano Roi . Thanks from all of us!
