Pierfranco Zambernardi , for friends “Franco” and Massimiliano Intinso , “Max” for those who know him well, they are the standard bearers of Parmigianità in Brescia: with their Bottega Parma, they offer the best of the gastronomic world of the Ducal City in a refined store just outside the city centre, in an elegant residential neighbourhood. On Friday, September the 29th, a unique wine tasting took place, expertly managed by “the wine woman” Silvia Mandini. The event allowed wine enthusiasts to discover Monte delle Vigne Wines, paired with the delicacies of the aforementioned duo.
Silvia Mandini, friend of the Monte delle Vigne project “On the road”, she was the mind behind the organization of this extraordinary tasting. Her passion and knowledge in the wine world, made it possible for a successful event which attracted an attentive and curious audience. Her dedication to promoting Italian wine excellence and her skill in communicating the history and characteristics of the wines made the evening an unforgettable experience for all participants.
The over one hundred guests of the evening found themselves immerged in an elegant yet welcoming atmosphere, ready to explore a selection of fine wines. The tasting was led by Silvia Mandini, who guided the participants through a sensory journey among the various wines of Monte delle Vigne. Each wine was carefully presented, highlighting its sensory characteristics and providing interesting anecdotes about its production.
The selection, made by Silvia Mandini in collaboration with Franco and Max, included both red and white varieties:
Poggio Alto, chardonnay grape sparkling wine that surprises with its fine bubbles and dynamism;
Ginestra, the still and steel-fermented Malvasia, with its fresh and delicate taste, featuring notes exotic fruit and flowers.
Rio Valli Lambrusco, the sparkling wine produced with the Maestri and Grasparossa grapes.
Rosso MdV , Bonarda and Barbera, a duo that resonates in harmony.
And the last but not least, I Salici, the bottle-fermented. 100% Maestri, which even amazed those who aren’t wine experts with its austere sip.
In an area – Brescia – know for its passion for sparkling wines, the participants were able to appreciate the intense aroma and the complex flavors of these wines, pairing them with a selection of high-quality gastronomic products, ranging from cured meats to pickled vegetables, with a touch of Erbazzone Reggiano, the birth place of Pierfranco . A heartfelt thanks – almost taken for granted – to Franco and Max for their enthusiasm and to the entire Bottega Parma staff – with Mrs Anna at the forefront.
