A business trip full of achievements at Enoteca Manzato in Mariano Comense (CO) by Monte delle Vigne, thanks to the dissemination and storytelling efforts of Dino Centofante, key figure for Como and Monza Brianza. The tasting took place on Saturday, June 10, 2023, and was dedicated to the discovery of the high-quality wines produced by Monte delle Vigne.
During the tasting, which took place in two sessions (5 pm and 6:30 pm), attendees had the opportunity to taste a selection of labels accompanied by delicious Emilian specialties such as Gnocco Fritto and cured meats. These treats were skillfully prepared on-site by the superb team of Signore Marinella and Ornella, sisters of Luca Lessi, the owner of Enoteca Manzato.
The first wine presented by Mr. Dino, in collaboration with Luca Lessi, was Primavera, a sparkling wine made from Malvasia di Candia Aromatica grapes, surprising with its freshness and dynamism. The second wine on the list was Ginestra, the still and steel version of Malvasia, with a fresh and delicate taste, featuring notes of exotic fruits and flowers. Malvasia proved to be a very versatile grape variety, perfectly complementing the gnocco fritto, cured meats, and fresh cheeses offered during the tasting. The third one tasted was Lambrusco Rio Valli, a sparkling wine produced with Maestri and Grasparossa grapes: spirited, vinous, with many references to forest fruits such as blackberry and raspberry. Finally, the “champion” Nabucco closed the afternoon dedicated to Colli di Parma and its reference cellar, with its imperious sip and complex tannic structure.
“These events should be implemented every weekend”, stated Lorenzo Numanti. “Because, in addition to promoting our products outside of Parma, they serve to strengthen the relationship with people like Luca Lessi, who trust in our wines before the “confirmation” that later takes place with his guests”.
An heartfelt thanks- almost taken for granted - to Mr. Dino Centofantefor his enthusiasm and to the entire staff of Enoteca Manzato.
