Into the beautiful frame of “our” Parma Hills, Gabriele Olivieri and Clara Pinardi represent Monte delle Vigne throbbing organs. With their enthusiasm and their competence, they manage the winery shop and transform each tour into a unique experience, by making each person not just a client, but part of a huge Emilian history.

Every day, Gabriele and Clara host visitors with a smile and a genuine desire to share their passion for our reality. The reception becomes a starting point for an unmatchable enologic-sensory trip: the beginning is on the terrace with the panorama on 40 hectares of vineyards. Then, the passage into the winery between Monte delle Vigne “hidden treasures”, like barricaia and the last point is the tasting room, where the guests explore our wine selection, paired to specialties/gastronomic local delights.

Let’s start with the double interview.

Which scholastic path did you follow?
G: “After the scientific high school, I had the degree in Gastronomic Sciences in Parma”
C: “After the linguistic high school, I had the degree in Modern Foreign Languages and Culture”

Where does your oenology passion come from?
G: “From my grandparents, who had a private winery in Vidiana di Casatico, near Torrechiara Castle; since when I was little, I helped my grandfather and the breaks with pomace cakes during the harvest period are lively memories…”
C: “From Monte delle Vigne! I came here to translate the communication tools and I got immediately into it!”

How are these clients divided between Italy and abroad countries?
G: “We can say that the 60% comes from Italy and the 40% comes from other countries”
C: “I confirm!

Where can they learn about the possibility of making winery guided tours?
G: “Mainly from restaurant owners “friends” of us from Parma and province, from B&B and travel agencies”
C: “The tasting of our wines into restaurants is fundamental but I also add by word of mouth”

Are they just interested in wine or also in gastronomic excellences?
G: “They are mainly interested to wine, but when I give them my cold cuts selection, they are astonished for quality”
C: “Culaccia and Parmesan Cheese selected by Gabriele are exceptional. He said to me the suppliers after one year working together! Often, they say to me that they are also attracted from our location of 60 hectares on Parma Hills: a fascinating location during all the season of the year”

Which is your secret to let visitors happy?
G: “Let the client feel part of Monte delle Vigne family, authenticity and passion for hospitality”
C: “Try to identify with people I have in front of me and try to understand their necessities”

Aperistreet through the vineyards: where its success come from, apart from your enthusiasm?
G: “From a ‘receipt’ born ten years ago, from a fantastic location that satisfies different ages people and from extraordinary food and wine pairings”
C: “Apart from what Gabriele said, the people of the winery, the atmosphere of summer nights and… the experience lived from whom who come here with friends”

To conclude, which working or personal aspects would you steal to your colleague?
G: “Dedication to work, organization and kindness”.
C: “His eno-gastronomic knowledge, his attitude, friendliness, and positivity”.
