MONTICELLO BRUT NATURE 2022

SPUMANTE BIOLOGICO

For the people of Ozzano Taro, Monticello has always been the name of the first little hill encountered on the way up to the winery. This sparkling wine is the cellar's first Classic Method release. To the typical finesse, elegance, and minerality of Monte delle Vigne sparkling wines is added the "creamy touch" from aging in Austrian Klaus Pauscha tonneaux, resulting in a unique and refined tasting experience.

vineyards

Limestone-clay soils with east/north-west facing exposure, at an altitude of 250 metres

3k Bottles/Year

60 magnum

The Chardonnay is hand-selected and harvested. After a brief maceration in the press with destemmed grapes and the draining of the free-run must, the first fermentation takes place in tonneaux at 16–17 °C and in stainless steel at 14 °C.
The wine is aged 30% in Klaus Pauscha tonneaux with weekly bâtonnage, and 70% in stainless steel. It undergoes secondary fermentation in the bottle with selected yests and is disgorged after 24 months on fine lees, revealing its elegance and complexity.
