Nabucco,
the telling of a unique story

A refined and elegant red, it was the first wine produced at Monte delle Vigne and has become an iconic expression of the estate. Introducing with the 1992 vintage, it embodies our philosophy: wines of quality, crafted from grape varieties deeply rooted in the local terroir, with a distinctive still character that stands apart from the region's traditional sparkling wines. It is also a tribute to the success of Verdi's opera of the same name, which premiered at La Scala in Milan in 1842.

The unique terroir where the grapes for Nabucco are grown, combined with extended aging, gives this wine great intensity, body, and structure. It is ideal to enjoy upon purchase, yet it can also be cellared for over five years to experience an even more complex evolution. A wine that reveals itself with age, where Barbera takes center stage, embodying freshness in both aroma and flavour—thanks to the vocation of Monte delle Vigne and the exceptional quality of its soils and microclimate.
