An unforgettable sensory Emilian experience took place in the heart of Milan, into the exclusive wine shop A&Co in Piero Capponi Street, thanks to Monte delle Vigne wine tasting together with typical culinary specialties from our land. The event has been organized thanks to “the four musketeer of the Milan oenology” - Jean Marc, Angelo, Tommaso e Terry – and thanks to the tireless Maria Iammatteo , Monte delle Vigne symbol in Milan.
The wine bar atmosphere, known for its prestigious wines selection, was the perfect place for a unique tasting experience. Guests had the opportunity to plunge themselves into the Emilia-Romagna oeno-culinary culture, discovering the hidden treasures of this unique terroir .
The tasting started with I Calanchi – 100% Lambrusco Maestri -, paired to the classic Mortadella Bolognese; then, Il Chiuso – Cabernet Franc – with the Strolghino (the little salame produced from the thin parts of cultaello and fiocco) and the Salame Gentile. At the end, the “king of the winery” Nabucco – 90% Barbera, 10% Merlot new vintage 2020 – astonished the guests thanks to the pairing with flakes of Parmesan Cheese 34 months, both alone and together with plums jam.
The event was an extraordinary occasion to appreciate the richness and the variety of Emilia-Romagna flavours, not just throw Monte delle Vigne wines, but also thanks to the “culinary tidbits” that delighted the guests. Parmesan Cheese, with its grainy texture and intense flavour, conquered the guests’ palate and the Salame Gentile, Strolghino and Mortadella brought the authentic and unmatchable tastes of the Emilian pastorale life in Wagner Square. Pairings wines-food, wisely invented by A&Co staff, exalted their characteristics, creating unforgettable tasting harmonies.
Maria ’s passion and enthusiasm – for the night slicing cold cuts and serving Parmesan Cheese – made the situation very captivating and carefree at the same time.
