Nabucco,
of a unique story

Nabucco,
il racconto di una storia irripetibile
An elegant fine red, Nabucco was the first wine to be released by Monte delle Vigne. Nowadays, it is an iconic wine characterized by some distinctive elements. It was first released in 1992 harvest and embodies our philosophy: quality wines made with grape varieties deeply rooted locally. We were the first to believe a firm red wine could well represent the region which is usually associated with sparklings. Nabucco pays homage to the eponymous opera by Verdi that debuted at La Scala in Milan in
1842. This land and the long ageing provide the wine with intensity, body and structure. Nabucco is great to drink young but will further improve when left in the cellar for five or more years. Ageing allows for an even greater enjoyment. Barbera embodies the essence of Nabucco and Monte delle Vigne where the soil and the microclimate merge with a sustainable and high quality approach to winemaking. .. . . ..
